WiziWords

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 2, 2026

WiziWords (“WiziWords”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how the WiziWords mobile application (“Application” or “Service”) handles information when you use our application.

By using WiziWords, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

WiziWords has no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. Your learning progress never leaves your device. The only information that leaves your device relates to purchasing and validating a subscription.

1.Summary

WiziWords does not require an account and does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Nearly all of the information the Application handles — your vocabulary lists, quiz results, learning progress, and settings — is created and stored on your device, and we have no access to it.

The one exception is a subscription. If you choose to subscribe, a limited amount of purchase-related information is processed by Google Play and by our subscription provider, as described in section 3.

2.Data Stored on Your Device

The Application stores the following locally on your device:

  • vocabulary content, translations, and example sentences;
  • your learning progress and quiz results;
  • application preferences and settings.

This information is stored in the Application’s own storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and we cannot access it.

This data is not backed up to our servers. If you uninstall the Application or clear its data, it is permanently lost.

3.Subscription and Purchase Information

If you purchase a WiziWords Premium subscription, the purchase is processed by Google Play. We never receive or store your name, billing address, or payment card details.

To determine whether your subscription is active, we use RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription management provider. In connection with a purchase, the following is processed:

  • a randomly generated anonymous identifier created by RevenueCat for your installation of the Application;
  • the purchase token and order identifier issued by Google Play;
  • which subscription plan was purchased, and its start, renewal, and expiry dates;
  • the country and currency of the transaction, and basic device and application version information.

The anonymous identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or Google account by us. Its purpose is to let the Application recognise that an active subscription exists and unlock premium features.

This information is used solely to deliver and validate your subscription, to support the “Restore Purchases” function, and to comply with our obligations to the app store. It is not used for advertising or profiling, and it is not sold or shared with anyone for those purposes.

If you never purchase a subscription, no purchase information is created.

4.Information We Do Not Collect

WiziWords does not collect:

  • your name, email address, or phone number;
  • location data;
  • contacts, photos, files, or microphone input;
  • advertising identifiers;
  • browsing or app usage analytics;
  • crash reports containing personal information.

The Application contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no social media SDKs.

5.Pronunciation and Speech

The Application can read words and sentences aloud. This uses the text-to-speech engine built into your device’s operating system.

We do not record, store, or transmit any audio, and the Application does not access your microphone. Depending on the speech engine installed on your device and its settings, the text to be spoken may be processed by that engine’s provider — for example, Google’s speech services on Android. That processing is governed by the provider’s own privacy policy and device settings, not by us.

6.Educational Content

WiziWords provides educational materials including vocabulary, translations, example sentences, and language learning content.

Although we make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and useful content, we do not guarantee that all translations, definitions, or examples are complete, current, or error-free. Language content may vary depending on context, region, and usage.

7.Retention and Deletion

Data on your device. You can delete all locally stored information at any time by uninstalling the Application or clearing its data through your device settings. This action is permanent.

Subscription records. Purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat are retained for as long as needed to provide the subscription and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

To request deletion of subscription records associated with your installation, contact us at the address in section 14. Please note that records Google Play is required to keep for financial and tax purposes cannot be deleted at our request, and that deleting subscription records may prevent you from restoring an active subscription.

8.Children’s Privacy

WiziWords is intended for users aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

If you believe a child under 13 has used the Application in a way that resulted in personal information being collected, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Parents and guardians should be aware that purchases are made through the Google Play account signed in on the device. Purchase controls and password requirements can be configured in the Google Play settings.

9.Third-Party Services

The Application relies on the following third parties:

  • Google Play (Google LLC) — application distribution, payment processing, and subscription management;
  • RevenueCat, Inc. — validation of purchases and determination of subscription status;
  • your device’s text-to-speech engine — pronunciation playback, as described in section 5.

Each of these providers processes information under its own privacy policy. We do not use analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting services.

10.International Transfers

WiziWords is operated from Israel. RevenueCat and Google are based in the United States, and information relating to a subscription may be processed there or in other countries where those providers operate.

Israel has been recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection. Transfers to providers outside the European Economic Area are made under the safeguards those providers put in place, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

11.Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information relating to you; to object to or restrict its processing; and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have these rights under the GDPR; residents of California and certain other jurisdictions have comparable rights under local law.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Because we operate without accounts, the practical scope of these rights is limited: most of your data exists only on your device and is under your direct control. For subscription records, contact us at the address in section 14 and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Where we rely on a legal basis under the GDPR, processing of purchase information is necessary to perform the contract between us (providing your subscription) and to comply with our legal obligations.

If you believe we have not handled your information properly, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, or in Israel with the Privacy Protection Authority.

12.Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the Application and the data within it. The Application’s content databases are encrypted, and communication with our subscription provider takes place over encrypted connections.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for the security of your device and of the Google account signed in on it.

13.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Application, legal requirements, or our privacy practices.

Any changes will be posted with an updated Effective Date. Your continued use of WiziWords after changes become effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
